About

Ever since I was young, I've always been drawn to discovering the world around me, especially the science behind natural processes. I remember staying up past 9 pm just to watch nature documentaries come on the TV, right after the regular kids' programs went off.

Following my passions, I attended the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB) where I obtain my B.S. degree in Earth Science (Geophysics). At UCSB I had the pleasure to work alongside many inspiring peers and mentors. Now as a PhD student at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, I am grateful that I get to continue my ongoing journey of research.

Outside of research, you can probably find me out taking pictures with my camera, trying to learn knitting at home, or ice skating at the local ice rinks. I've been skating since I was five, and I've heard there are many outdoor rinks here in Fairbanks. I'm super excited to see what skating outdoors feels like!
